Quarterly Community LEGO® Build

Build Something Bigger — Together

Each quarter, MindForge selects one large-scale LEGO® set to build as a community.

This is not a competition.
It’s not a raffle.
It’s a collaborative engineering project completed in stages by participating families.

One family begins the build.
The next continues it.
Piece by piece, something extraordinary takes shape.

When the build is complete, the set is displayed in the studio for the remainder of the quarter before being donated to a local school, library, nonprofit organization, or community space.

This is how we build belonging beyond our walls.

How It Works

  1. A Featured Set Is Announced
Each quarter, a large-scale LEGO® set is selected.
  2. Build Segments Are Released
The set is divided into structured build segments (typically aligned with original instruction booklets).
  3. Families Reserve a Segment
Participants reserve a build segment and schedule a time to complete it in the studio.
  4. Build In-Studio
Segments are completed onsite during a reserved session. Staff are present to support, document progress, and guide the experience as needed.
  5. Display & Donation
Once complete, the full build is displayed in MindForge before being donated to a designated community recipient.

The selected donation recipient is announced prior to segment reservations opening.

Why We Create the Community Build

  • The Quarterly Community Build exists because meaningful work feels different.
  • It teaches patience — because great builds take time.
  • It teaches collaboration — because no one family completes it alone.
  • It models contribution — because the final piece is given back.
  • Families don’t just assemble bricks.
They take part in a shared engineering project that evolves week by week — one that will live on in a local space long after the final piece is placed.
  • Children see their work displayed.
Parents witness focus and problem-solving in real time.
And together, participating families help choose where their finished work will make its next impact.
  • This program reflects what MindForge stands for:

Build — with intention.
Think — beyond the instructions.
Explore — what’s possible together.
Belong — to something bigger than yourself.

Participation Investment

Each build segment is a reserved, guided studio experience.

Segment pricing varies based on the featured set and complexity, but every reservation includes far more than a booklet of instructions.

When you participate, you receive:

• A dedicated in-studio build session at our Community Table
• A structured progression within a large-scale engineering project
• Support and facilitation from MindForge staff
• Professional documentation of your contribution
• Recognition as an official Community Builder
• Public acknowledgment while the completed build is on display

When the build is donated, the names of all participating builders are included as official contributors to the gift.

Participating families are also invited to vote on the final community recipient from a curated list of local schools, libraries, and nonprofit organizations.

Your participation supports:

• The purchase of the featured LEGO® set
• Studio staffing and thoughtful supervision
• Program coordination and exhibit display
• Donation of the completed build to a local community recipient

This is not a ticket.
It is a contribution to something lasting.

Important Notes

• All builds take place onsite at MindForge.
• Participants must complete their reserved segment to receive entry.
• This program is not a raffle or lottery. Entry is tied to participation in a structured build experience.
• Final selection is conducted from verified participants only.
